Black and White

We've been anxiously waiting for the Psych report from the evaluation done in early October.  There really wasn't anything in there that we didn't already know, but you know what?
It absolutely sucks to see it in black and white.

Oh, and sock issue?  still not resolved.  The second time he put the new socks on, he said they don't go up high enough.  I knew that was a possibily.  I said eff it and have ordered him seamless knee socks.  They may go up to his hips, but they'll go over knees.    It's too late to return the socks because the packages were all opened and socks washed after he said they fit.

We submitted all the paperwork for the Autsim Waiver and just have to wait and see.  All I hope is that a determination is made with the next 4 months, because, to get the in-home services, he needs to NOT have turned 8 yet.  He'll be 8 in March.

Tomorrow we have Parent/Teacher conferences.  Again, there won't be any surprises for us, but when we see it in black/white, it'll suck again.

Why not just call this blog "socks"

We called the place we bought the socks, and they are out of them.  They told us they'd call us when they get more in.  In the meantime, I ordered some from a website.  They arrived today.  First thing I noticed is I inadvertenly ordered the next smaller size, so I was sweating it out.  As soon as Thomas got home from school, I had him try them on, and they fit fine.

On a related note, I happened to be talking to the Speech Therapist who did the speech assessment on Thomas a few weeks ago.  She remembered the sock situation and asked about it.  Bless her heart...she told me if we couldn't find any on line, she'd go to the store in person, pick some up, and give them to a person from our area who travels there once a month.  We won't need to do that, but that sure is very kind of her to offer that extra step.
